What:  Road Trip to Long Beach Washington to enjoy cranberry-harvest related activities

When:  Sunday, October 9th, 2022 

Where: Long Beach, WA - Cranberry Museum and Long Beach venues nearby

The Plan: Tesla owners and guests will meet at the Hillsboro Tanasbourne Tesla Superchargers for some chat before heading to the Cranberry Museum near Long Beach via Astoria. It's a drive of about 100 miles to Long Beach - approximately 2 hours. No supercharging is available at Long Beach so take advantage of the Tanasbourne and Seaside superchargers as needed.

Weather looks like it'll be good, but be prepared for the marine fog and cool temperatures.

Meet up and Departure Plan:
  • Meet at Tesla superchargers at Tanasbourne at 9am, leave for the coast at 9:30am. Charge up first if needed for the trip.
  • Drive to Long Beach WA Cranberry Museum for a self-guided tour and then some delicious cranberry ice cream! The cranberry harvest should still be going on then.
  • Lunch and the afternoon is on your own to explore Long Beach. Several good places are available:
    • Pickled Fish restaurant atop the Adrift Hotel (super tasty fish and chips plus a great view): https://www.pickledfishrestaurant.com/
    • Great clam chowder is available at the Chowder Stop at 203 Bolstad Ave, Long Beach, WA 98631 (good option for to-go to eat out on the beach).
    • North Jetty Brewing may have some cranberry flavored brews (https://northjettybrew.com/) and the Adrift Distillers should have some cranberry-flavored liqueurs too (https://adriftdistillers.com/).
